🎨 Personalise Start Pages with Color

You can now bring more personality to personal and group start pages by adding custom background colors to widgets. This feature is available for: Birthdays, Events, iFrame, Photo Album, Itemfilter, Search, RSS News Feed, News Articles, and Text widgets. 
Tip: Use a dark background color with sufficient contrast to ensure white text remains clearly readable.

🔎 Smarter Search Experience

The Search screen now offers: Advanced sorting options, the ability to display Tags and Likes directly in search results and a new filter for favourite items. When you change the sorting order, your selection will be retained until you choose a different one.

 🔒 Targeted 2FA Control

Webmasters can now enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for specific members (when 2FA is enabled on the domain). This can be used, for example, to provide an extra layer of security when granting access to external members.

🌍 Expanded Language Support

The platform now supports Swedish and Norwegian.

⭐️ What’s New

• A new Search Statistics feature is now available under Setup > General, providing a comprehensive overview of total searches, top search queries, and other key metrics—offering insights to improve content findability across the platform.

• The storage size of a group is now displayed on the group management page.

• Members can now add their Teams ID and Teams chat button to their profile. (Activate via Setup > Members > Profile Fields). The Skype chat buttons have been removed, and the Skype field is now marked as Deprecated. Please note that the Skype field will be removed entirely this summer.

• We’ve made several improvements to improve screen reader compatibility.

• Published articles under “From The Editors” now display the publication date.

• Resolved an issue where shortcuts in the Shortcut widget weren’t correctly hidden for news articles that members do not have access to.

• Fixed a bug in task pagination that occurred with a high volume of tasks

• Addressed a problem where users were occasionally unable to remove appointment reminders.

We have just released the latest version of our platform, which includes new features and bug fixes designed to enhance your user experience. 

What's new

• You now have the option to integrate your Viadesk platform as an app inside the Microsoft Teams application! Having Viadesk within Teams means all your essential tools and information are in one place, reducing the need to switch between different applications. We are currently launching the beta for this integration. To access Viadesk inside the Teams app, you need Microsoft SSO. Excited about this option? Just ask your account manager for details and setup.

• If you delete an appointment, you can now explain the reason for the cancellation in the email. This way it is clear for everyone why exactly the appointment is cancelled.

• In Events, you can now turn off the Sign Out option for participants after the registration deadline. This prevents last-minute cancellations.

• You can now make your platform findable on the web (in technical terms: by allowing robots.txt). This is a great option for communities. This feature is off by default.

Improvements and fixes

• Pages now show a yellow icon in the group menu when permissions are adjusted, like the folder icons.

• You can now filter the timeline on Status updates.

• The Mobile App's print function now shows an option to select portrait or landscape printing.

• It's now much easier to select members when emailing from the Mobile App.

• Fixed a bug where sometimes the dates would not be correctly changed, when moving an appointment in the calendar using the drag & drop method.

• Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented moving items to a different folder. This could happen after removing the item type from the Add button in Group Management.

• Fixed a bug where the removal of a member from a group did not remove the member from the group member list

• When searching for members: for company, division, department, category and job title you now can match the complete words.

• Fixed a bug that sometimes hid the link to Profile & Status Updates in the Account menu.

• When you published an article 'from the news editors', and users downloaded a PDF, it still showed the author's name. This issue has been fixed.

• Fixed a bug where, in some cases, the Copy option wouldn't show in the Action widget.

• Fixed a bug with a wrong redirect after deleting a text item's version.

• Fixed a bug where the Item copy dialogue popup did not list all possible groups.

• You now have the option to create a Contact Page to share specific instructions on how and when to reach Webmasters. Go to: Setup > Webmasters section > Contact Page

  • Improvements to screen reader performance and keyboard navigation.

  • Increased the contrast of borders for input and field elements.

• Webmasters now can specify the type of push notifications members receive, choosing between web/desktop, mobile, both, or opting out entirely.

• The item view in responsive layouts now displays the author of the item, which was previously hidden.

• Webmasters can now disable the persistent login feature in the mobile app (Setup > General), requiring users to log in each time a session expires.

• Fixed a bug where the 'Report Days' column was not correctly imported.

• Resolved an issue where the Expertise fields of members were not exported properly.

• Addressed a rare bug that prevented emails from being sent from the Email feature.

What’s New?

• Event Registration Notifications: Organizers can now opt to receive an email notification when a member registers for an event.

• Expanded Events Widget: The Events widget now displays up to 200 events, up from the previous limit of 30.

What’s New?

• Advanced search improvements: Searching just got easier! Now, you can use partial keywords in fields like Organization and Function to find what you need faster.

• Organization customization: You can now set up predefined organizations in user profiles, while members can still add their own organization names.

• Group duplication: You can now easily create a copy of an entire group and its contents via Group Management > Duplicate Group. In addition, the Group Templates feature should feel much more robust.

• Accessibility WCAG 2.2 improvements: We're committed to inclusivity. For example, UI elements now meet WCAG 2.2 minimum size standards (24px × 24px), ensuring a more user-friendly experience for everyone. 

Additional Enhancements and Bug Fixes

• WCAG2.2: In the Accessibility mode, the top menu now scrolls along with the page, rather than stay on top in the browser window. This ensures focused elements are always visible. Additionally, various other accessibility enhancements have been implemented.

• On domains where members are restricted from changing their email addresses, user profiles now indicate that only Webmasters have this privilege.

• The email that is sent if an occurrence of a repeating appointment is cancelled has a clear subject.

• Issues with capitalization in tags have been rectified. 

• The ability to remove lengthy tags has been restored.

• Fixed the issue of not being able to remove very long tags.

• In the events widget, recurring appointments now display the instance date instead of the creation date.

• A problem is fixed where in some cases deactivated members would still receive push notifications.

• Fixed some problems with the member import.

• Performance improvements on the Groups page.

• An issue where the calendar occasionally displayed the incorrect week has been resolved.

• Fixed a problem with the member limit for events not working in some rare cases.
